She was predeceased by : her parents, Floyd Nelson and Hildur Nelson; her husband Samuel "Bert" Kuykendall; her brothers, Richard Nelson (Lois) and Robert Nelson (Beth); her foster son Patrick Urban; and her nephews, Mike Nelson and Jim Nelson.
She is survived by : her daughter Christine Cordero (Manuel) of Ash Grove, Missouri; her grandchildren, Nathan Cordero (Jaime) and Angela Jordan; and her great grandchildren, Gabriela, Curtis, Eden Jordan, Jessica, Jack and Samantha Cordero.
Memorial contributions may be made to Illinois School for the Deaf, Jacksonville or to the Southern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church.
