He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Winston and Margaret Ann Ackley (McNerney); his siblings, Jean McCandless, Jack and Earl Ackley; and his great grandchild Jason Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Foster; his children, Chris Ackley (Mary) of Aurora, Tina Ackley of Springfield, Suretta Rector (Tony) of Aurora and Jill Burlison of Jarrett, Texas; his nephew Mike Barnett of Aurora; and his nieces, Teri, Kimberly Barnett of Springfield and Jimalea Merritt (Kerry) of Aurora. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made payable to the Veteran's Memorial at Maple Park Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
