He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Franklin and Genevie Grace Skaggs (Nickleson); his grandson Nathan Compton Skaggs; and his brothers, Vernon, Samuel and Jimmy Skaggs.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Skaggs (Bable); his children, Patrick Skaggs (Lucretia), Glen Skaggs and Gwen Skaggs; his grandchildren, Tanner Skaggs (Kelsey), Ethan Skaggs and Laura Skaggs; his great grandchildren, Zayley, Liam, Emersyn and Sloan Skaggs; his siblings, Bobby Gene Skaggs, Dennis Skaggs (Donna), Kenny Skaggs (Shirley) and Sue Ann Aubuchon (Jim); his sisters-in-law, Virginia Skaggs, Wanda Williams, Mary Robbins, Linda Andrews, Debbie Garrett and JoAnn Graham; and his close friend Austin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
