He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nowak and Dorothy Nowak (Pelzl); his former wife Shirley Nowak; his son Michael Nowak; his grandson Keith Pahlmann; and his sister Diana Harris (Carl).
He is survived by: his wife Diane Nowak (Byerley); his children, Kimberly Pahlmann and Charles Drake; his grandchildren, Donald Nowak (Mandi), Amanda Pinkley (Ryan), David Nowak, Bethany Hanson (David), Deanna Pahlmann, Mackenzie Drake and Hunter Drake; his great grandchildren, Camden Hanson, Blake Hanson, Abbey Hanson, Caden Meier, Maci Meier, Baby Pinkley and Baby Hanson; and his brother Thomas Nowak (Mary).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Bonne Terre Food Pantry, or Food for the Poor.
