He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Nelson and Nola Marm Dickerson; his daughter Carolyn Sue; and his grandchildren, Patty, Delilah, Wendy and William John.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Pam; and his children, John Nelson Aleshire (Pam) of Brighton, Judy Harris (Don) of Aurora, Marylynn Aleshire (Mark) of Warrensburg and Carol Sutton (Ed) of Kansas City. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
