He was predeceased by : his former life partner Norma; his daughters, Kathy McClanahand and Janet Novotny (McClanahand); and his brother Roy McClanahand. He is survived by : his wife Linda; his son-in-law John Novotny (Jill); his granddaughters, Nicole Novotny and Meagan Novotny; his sister Virginia "Ginger" Valentine (Glen); and also, Jerry, Barbara Johnstone (Wayne), Carol Noffsinger, Ray Noffsinger (Julie), David Noffsinger (Shelly), Patty Cecchetti (Jeff), Elizabeth Lowrey (David) and Amy Sellars (Jeremy). He is also survived by grandchildren he loved as his own, as well as, 5 great-grandchildren.
