He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Scott and Doris Marian Weatherston (Berg). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Ellison; his children, Kathy Weatherson of Bucyrus, Rick Weatherston of Houston and Edith Wen; and his sisters, Eileen Dryke of Michigan, Nancy Black of Oregon and Kathy Hernandez of Texas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
