He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Otto and Clara Bell Huitt (Talley); his sisters, Christine Hudson, Helen Richards and Doris Blunt; his son-in-law Bryan Nash; his brother-in-law Jack Johnson; and his niece Susie Nanney (Steve Nanney).
He is survived by: his grandson Raymond O'Connor; his siblings, Ruth Maydean Johnson of Barnhart, Mary Wells of Bismarck, Missouri and Wayne Huitt (Jean Ann) of Ringwood, Oklahoma; and his children, Claude Andrew Huitt, Jr. (Sherry) of Farmington, Gina Kearns of Farmington, Lisa Hahl of Festus, Melinda Barton (Eric) of Farmington and Debra Nash of Farmington. He is also survived by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Doe Run Cemetery, Doe Run City Park or American Legion.
