It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Jean Johnson (Canton, Missouri), born in Rockport, Illinois, who passed away on October 8, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Alvin Ward and Lucille I. Kindle Ward; her husband Oscar Franklin Johnson; and her siblings, Terry Alvin Ward and Doris Miller.

She is survived by : her daughters, Brenda Cottrell (David) of Kahoka, MO and Bonnie Cottrell (Darren) of Monticello, MO; her grandchildren, Eric Cottrell (Lexi) of Kahoka, Josh Cottrell of Monticello and Amy Geisendorfer (Zach) of Lewistown, MO; her great grandchildren, Coy Cottrell of Kahoka, Peyton of Lewistown, Logan of Lewistown, Emersyn of Lewistown and Andie Geisendorfer of Lewistown; and her sister Carol Louise Hess of Canton, MO. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
