Alene Matthews Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 21, 2020, at the age of 89, Alene Matthews (Cape Girardeau, Missouri) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Shipman and Joyce McClard Shipman; her husband Bob Matthews; and her siblings, Marjorie Clay, Caroline Van Deven and Lee Shipman.
She is survived by: her children, Judith Ann Gallagher (John) of Fort Worth, TX and Robert L. Matthews (Diane Tjomsland) of Bow, WA; her grandchildren, Catherine Ann Carter (Paul) and John Delaney Gallagher (Leslie); and her sister Nadine McConnell. She is also survived by seven nieces and nine nephews.
The family requests that any donations be made to Southeast Hospice in her name or to a charity of their choice.
