He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Hoffmeister and Bertha Hoffmeister (Siebert); and his siblings, Ervin Hoffmeister, Leonard Hoffmeister, Dorothy Emmons and JoAnn Emmons.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Hoffmeister (Kelly) of Waterloo, Gwen Seyer (Paul) of Jackson, Brian Hoffmeister (Bob Stelle) of San Francisco and Kim Winslow (John) of Overland Park, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Paige Mays (Les), Taylor Hoffmeister, Adam Hoffmeister, Jordan Seyer, Marcus Winslow, Megan Winslow and Clayton Winslow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri or Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
