It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Della Abernathy (Cape Girardeau, Missouri), born in Jackson, Missouri, who passed away on November 16, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Sylvanus Eakins and Hester Proffer Eakins; her sons, Kenneth Abernathy (Nelva) of San Antonio and Michael Abernathy of Thomas, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Joshua Abernathy, Brandi Abernathy, Amy, Amber, José, Issamar, Nelva and Alma Abernathy; her great grandchildren, Allysa, Kylie, Ethan, Emma and Savannah Abernathy; and her siblings, Deanna Friedrich (Vincent), Darlene Eakins and Doyle Eakins (Wanda).
