It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dewaine Smith of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, born in Fredericktown, Missouri, who passed away on March 9, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel D. "Tom" and Madge Bailey Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carol Smith; his daughters, Cynthia Baker (Thom) of Columbia and Stephanie Syberg of St. Louis; his stepsons, Mark Ticer (Minyo) of Cape Girardeau and Eric Ticer (Jodie) of Jackson; and his sister Kathy Paulus (Robert) of Columbia.
The family asks that memorials be made in Dewaine's name to McCombs Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
