He is survived by: his former spouse Tomi Sample; his wife Brenda Todt-LaRose; his children, Edward Hicks of Cape Girardeau, Tina Lockhart of Perryville, Penelope Laurentius (Paul) of Jackson and Melanie Hicks-Hercik of Cape Girardeau; his stepchildren, Tracy Bollinger (Shawn), Kim Newman (Adam) and Ryan LaRose (MaKenzie) of Cape Girardeau; his sisters, Dorothy Renfroe of Whitesboro and Earlene Wallace of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and his half-siblings, Paul Hicks of Cape Girardeau, Malcom Hicks of Cape Girardeau, Tom Hicks of Georgia, Gwen Gipson of Alabama and Debbie Stanwood of Illinois. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
