It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Mae Cannon (Cape Girardeau, Missouri), born in Daisy, Missouri, who passed away on January 29, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Barks and Edna Barks (Hahn); and her siblings, George Barks, Harold Barks, Jerry Barks, Ray Lee Barks, Lois LaBruyere (Bill) and Larry Barks.
She is survived by: her husband Charles "Ray" Cannon; her siblings-in-law, Shirley Barks (Ray Lee), Dorothy Barks (Jerry Lee), Karen Cannon (Robert), Mira Barks (Larry), Robert Cannon and Francis Cannon; her children, Michael Cannon (Jan) and Deborah Dunham (Bryan) of Cape Girardeau; her grandchildren, Evan Dunham and Madilyn Dunham; her sibling's children, Jeanne Townsend Hardy (Jim) of Pearland, Donna Elder (Jerry) of Jackson, Glenn Ellis Thompson of Oak Ridge, Elizabeth "Libby" Larson (Bill) of Huntsville, Alabama, Kathryn "Katie" Crawford (Kevin) of Decatur, Alabama and Bethany Barks; and also, Atticus, Zeb Parris and Mary "Mitch" Parris.
Emma has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude's Children Hospital or Hobbs Community Church.
