He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Clippard and Ruby A. Clippard; his wife Catherine Wunderlich Clippard; his siblings, James E. Clippard, Charles Curtis Clippard, Dora Lee Ross, JoAnn McKee and Wanda Caldwell; and his grandson John David "J. D.".
He is survived by: his children, Lori Clippard (Fara McDonald) of Cape Girardeau, Shelly Gaffigan (Tom) of Knoxville and John Clippard of Cape Girardeau; his siblings, Kaye Lampman and Lonnie Clippard (Tom); his grandchildren, Ryan Cagle, Allison Cagle, Kendra Cagle and Logan Clippard; his great grandchild Braedyn McElhaney; and his close friend Ella Dean. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Crown Hospice.
