He is survived by: his children, Syr-Franklin Kennedy Ellis, II of Overland Park and Sierra Thomas-Ellis (Quency Thomas-Ellis) of St. Louis, Missouri.; his siblings, Robert Hollomon (Lou Bertha) of Charleston, Joseph Ellis (Winda) of Bellwood and Narda Bates (Garwain) of Charleston, Missouri.; his siblings' children, Lanetha Ellis of Charleston and Joseph Ellis, IV of Bellwood, Illinois.; and his godchildren, Nichole Williams of Midland, Desmen Johnson, Dazique Hall of Springfield, Delandis Gilliespie of Cape Girardeau, Pershard Owens of Sikeston, Aubrey Johnson of Norfolk, Virginia, Sharee Williams of Cape Girardeau, Jennifer Tate of Columbia, Caleb Johnson of Cape Girardeau and Raevyn Yarber of Detroit. He is also survived by wife and children.
