He was predeceased by: his parents, Othal Eakin and Mary Alice Eakin (Reed); his sisters, Cleo Burton and Betty Rampley; and his former wife Brenda.
He is survived by: his wife Michelle Armstrong; his children, Chris Eakin and Dr. Lori Nesslein; his grandchildren, Tyler, Krisman, Kaylee, Brynn, Mason, Miles and Collyn; his siblings, Dr. Kenneth Eakin (Max), Terry and Sandy Benefield (Bob); his aunt Francis; and also, Trixie and Boscoe. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews.
