He is survived by: his wife Neisha of Cape Girardeau; his children, Jill Essner of Jackson, Dana Vandeven (David) of Marble Hill, Matthew Schwartz (Lorrie) of Cape Girardeau and Philip Schwartz (Tonya) of Perryville; his sister Shirley Beel (Ed) of Cape Girardeau; his grandchildren, Emily Hall (Curtis), Stephanie Horrell (Aaron), Eric Essner, Victor Vandevan (Ashley), Trent Vandeven (Kristen), Mary, Anna, John and William Schwartz; and his great grandchildren, Willow, Easton and Bailey.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
