Joyce Lavonne Abernathy Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 27, 2019, at the age of 88, Joyce Lavonne Abernathy (Cape Girardeau, Missouri) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Thomas Scott Abernathy of Wolf Lake, Illinois, Kristen D. Eckert (Michael E.) of Atlanta, Georgia Wilson and Beth Ann Wilson (Brad) of Tamm; her sister Shirley A. Harrison of Cape Girardeau; her grandchildren, Matt Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Lindsey Pender and Jordan Beattie; and her son William Matthew Abernathy. She was also cherished by five great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be given to Southern Illinois University Special Olympics.
