He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Steger and Wilma Huber Steger. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Steger of Cape Girardeau; his children, Kevin Steger (Carolyn) of Cape Girardeau and Jeanne Phillips (Victor) of Scott City, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Shaun Steger (Nicole), Erica Douglas (Jacob), Christopher Phillips and Heather Phillips. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
