He is survived by: his wife Vicki Long of Cape Girardeau; his son Michael Carter Long of Hartselle, Alabama; his stepdaughter Laura Putnam of Kansas City, Missouri; and his stepgrandchildren, Riley Putnam and Emmie Putnam of Kansas City, Missouri.
