Phyllis McClanahan Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis McClanahan of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, born in Jackson, Missouri, who passed away on November 17, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Sperling and Elda Schwab Sperling; her granddaughter Hannah Jane McClanahan Hluzek; her brother Gary Sperling; and her nephew Mark Lewandoski.

She is survived by: her husband Jerry McClanahan; her children, Bradley McClanahan (Tammy) of Jackson, Kimberly McClanahan of Salem, Missouri, Tammy Hunt of Oak Ridge and Sherry McClanahan-Hluzek (Roger) of St. Charles, Missouri; her sister Carolyn Lewandoski (Dennis) of Arnold, Missouri; and her sister-in-law Sheree Sperling (late Gary) of Cape Girardeau. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

However, everyone is asked to wear a mask at all times and practice social distancing for the safety of all.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
