He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar A. Bodenschatz and Paula Schuessler Bodenschatz; his wife Wilma Bodenschatz; his brother Leonard "Red" Bodenschatz; and his grandson Dallan Hutson.
He is survived by: his daughter Joyce Hutson (Brad) of Altenburg, Missouri; his grandchildren, Tara Donley of Jackson and Wade Hutson of Crystal City, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Levi and Vincent Donley of Jackson; and his sisters, Erna Kleine of Mehlville and Clara Weber of Arnold, Missouri..
