It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherry Kay De La Cruz of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Lewis and Helen Nichols Harris; and her sister Betty Harris. She is survived by: her great grandchild April Suzanne Jones (Dean); her children, Haley, Dawson and Tony De La (Crisette); her granddaughter Gillian; her child Lilah Brevik; her grandchildren, Jasmine and Taylor; her great grandchildren, Jayson, Jannesa and Jeriah; her grandchildren, Terry De La Cruz and Katrina De La Cruz (Tim O'Dom); her great grandchildren, Keiko, Kira, Helen Millson (Jonathan) and Dina Trahan (Matt); her children, Caleb, Isaac, Austin, Ethan and Joy Keller (Justin); her grandchildren, Oliver and Lucy; her daughters, Violet De La Cruz and Suzie Owen (Scott); her grandchildren, Presley, Dani and Ophelia; her children, Belle De La (Andrew) and Lysell; her grandson Beau; and also, Jadin and Kalia. She is also survived by her eleven children, 19 grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McCombs Funeral Home & Cremation Center (640 W Independence St, Jackson, MO 63755). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, May 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery (6137 Co Rd 525, Jackson, MO 63755).
The family suggests that contributions be made to New Bethel Baptist Church.
