He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur R. Ross and Bessie M. Johnson; his wife Betty Mae Richardson; his siblings, Billy, Paul and Florence Ross James; his siblings' child Twylla; and his son-in-law John Schorie.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Schorie of Cape Girardeau, Thomas O. Ross, Jr. (Nancy) of St. Louis and Beth Scherer (David) of Cape Girardeau; his grandson Jeff Mayfield (Jamie); his children, Zak, Zoë and Gina Ross Henry; his grandchild Lauren of St. Louis; and his brother-in-law Tom Richardson (Connie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
