Vernon Hopkins Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon Hopkins (Cape Girardeau, Missouri), who passed away on October 18, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Meredith Ralston Hopkins and Vernon Hopkins Sr.; and his brothers, John Kenneth, Robert Fowler and David.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Matthews Hopkins; his daughters, Ramona Hopkins, Rebecca Gooch (John), Amanda Lynn (Dean) and Rachel Lyscas; his stepson Barry Matthews (Elaine); his grandchildren, Adam of Santa Fe, Matthew Bollinger of Santa Fe and Sarah Hopkins; and his stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth Roberts, Joe and Grant Matthews. He is also survived by 4 Great grandchildren and numerous extended family.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be sent to The MASTERS Program, PO Box 5287 Hwy 67 N Poplar Bluff, MO 63901 Graveside service will be held at the Veterans Cemetery, in Bloomfield MO. Wednesday October 23rd at 10 am.
