He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Nelson and Alvester Scott Nelson; his wife Lettie B. Thatch; and his siblings, Delores Moore, Margaret Grayson, Shirley Nelson, Milton Nelson, Veroy Andrews and Earl Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Ella Woffard (Simon) of Parma, MO, Dorothy Hodges of Cape Girardeau, MO, Lydia Wade (Floyd) of Charleston, MO, Marvel Mead of Parma, Linda Shay (Dennis) of St. Louis, MO, Brenda Kellum (Charles) of New Madrid, MO and Gregory Thatch (Tracy) of Melbourne, FL; and his brother Louis Nelson (Deloris) of Parma. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.
