He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ernest Rodenberry and Mary Fornkohl Rodenberry; his significant other Daniel Hahn of Cape Girardeau; and his daughters, Jean Pruitt (late Harold) of Cape Girardeau and Mary Dunlap (David).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills.
