He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Tate and Arvilla Tate; his spouse Marjorie Jones June; his daughters, Mary Tate and Diana Tate; his stepdaughter Kay Westerman; and his brother Donald Tate.
He is survived by: his half-sister Mary Hern; his children, Darold Tate and Kathy Volman; and his stepson Rod Hobelman. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
