He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Potter; and his sister Diane Cargile. He is survived by: his parents, Dale Hamilton and Marie "Finley" Hamilton; his son Joe Pratt of Carthage; and his siblings, Steve Hamilton, Dayle Peterson (Michael), Gayle Hamilton and Debbie Delcour (Tim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
