She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernie Pennington and Carnie Pennington (Grimmett); her son Greg Asbell; her granddaughter Karlie Asbell; and her great grandchild Garrett.

She is survived by: her husband Richard Asbell; her daughters, Regina Velasco and Tina Morton; and her half-brothers, Sanford Grimmett and Gerald Grimmett.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Kidney Foundation.
