He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Henson and Jennie Henson; his children, Joyce Halteman and Larry Henson; and his siblings, Clifford Sebiers, Bill Henson and Burtie Spillers.
He is survived by: his wife Leona Mae Spires; his sister Charlett Smith (Frank) of Reeds; his adoptive daughter Rebecca Dockins; and his sister-in-law Mary Henson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Baptist Church in his memory.
