She was predeceased by: her mother Courtni Johnson; her grandfather Bill Davidson; and her great-grandparents, Joy Levings, Redgie and Betty Davis.
She is survived by: her father Jimmy Johnson (Lonnie); her husband Christian Messina; her children, Ashlyn Smith and Wren Messina; her siblings, Kyra, Jadeilyn, Lielyana Johnson, Christian Perkins and Zarin Johnson; her grandparents, Vanessa Ashenfelter and Clifford Blackaby; and her great-grandparents, Rodger and Ruby Levings. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the children of Chelsea Messina.
