He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hopper and Vada Samons Hopper; his spouse Zallie M. "Sue" Slayden; his daughter Darlene Michelle Scott; and his siblings, Travey Hopper, Corky Hopper and Patsy Slayden.
He is survived by: his grandson Zach Scott (Megan) of Cape Girardeau; and his siblings, Chester Hopper of Charleston, Garry Hopper of Martin, TN, Eloise Stevens of New Haven, MS, Carolyn Grant of Danville, IL and Marolyn Kay Hopper of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
