She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Oliver and Okie Byrd (Smith); her husband Harold David Hughes; and her siblings, Louis, Mark, Julian and Helen.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Hughes (Laura) of Dawn, Morgan Hughes (Diana) of Angleton, Arthur Hughes of Dawn, Missouri, Alice Hughes Puett (Dennis Lykins) of St. Joseph and Marjorie Hughes (Rick Yount) of Holt, Missouri; her grandchildren, David Hughes, Matthew Hughes, Megan Neis, Kieara Hughes, Morgan Bronson, Spencer Puett, Sarah Puett, Lisa Whitlow, Amy Reed, Katie Hooker, Hannah Briner, Jon Hughes, Courtney Yount and Tyler Yount; and her sisters, Virginia Griffith Headrick (Byrd) of Chillicothe and Chlovena Metzger of Vancouver, Washington.. She is also survived by twenty-three great grandchildren.
