He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Buchanan and Grace Tye (Cole); his siblings, Dixie Lay (Carl), Maxine Wilson (Dick) and William H. Tye; and his grandparents, Thomas Tye (Nancy) and Wilson Cole (Jennie).
He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his daughters, Jennie Tipton (Terry) of Chillicothe, Christine Roe (Michael) of Medicine Lodge and Tina Tye of Chillicothe, Missouri; his grandchildren, Jason Vorbeck (Chasity, Colin Roe), Addie Roe, Taylor Wilkison and Tanner Wilkison; his great grandchildren, Jackson Vorbeck and Carsyn Vorbeck; and his sister-in-law Shirley Tye of Chillicothe, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
