He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pershing Thomas, Sr. and Wanda Lucille Thomas (Gann); his brother Harold Thomas; and his nephew Blake Briner. He is survived by: his daughter Courtney Marie Thomas of Jonesville, Louisiana; and his siblings, John Thomas, Jr. of Chillicothe, Bobby Thomas (Suzie) of Chillicothe, Jerry Bagley of Arizona, Fern Albertson (Jerry) of Meadville and Julia Sensenich (Greg) of Chillicothe, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
