With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thera Lavelock of Cleveland, Missouri, who passed away on April 16, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James L. Slater and Ruth Mae Slater (Bowman); her former spouse Dallas Noah Rains; her husband Rodger Noland Lavelock; and her siblings, J. L. Slater, Rudy Slater, Evon Yeager and Novella Lacy.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Dallas Rains of Cleveland, Missouri, David Alan Rains of Cleveland, Missouri and Barbara Diane Dugan of Lee's Summit, Missouri; her siblings, Ronnie Slater of Arkansas, Belva Yep of Ozark and Valinda Taylor of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Mike Rains (Shanlee) of Cleveland, Missouri and Rachel Nicole Campbell (Chance) of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and her great grandchildren, Hadley, Ryder, Ava and Hudson. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
