She was predeceased by : her parents, Mariano Masarocco and Alice Masarocco (Phillips); her daughter Renee Powers; and her grandchildren, Russell and Nicholas.

She is survived by : her husband Robert Van Gyzen of Clever; her children, Joyce Van Gyzen (Roc) of Clever, Tracey Van Gyzen-Scritchfield of Clever and Bobby Van Gyzen of Clever; her daughter-in-law Erin Van Gyzen of Springfield; her grandchildren, Joshua, Krystal, Michael, Madison, Riley, Jordan and Carson; her great grandchildren, Ashton, Thomas, Damien, Devin, Jameson, Alyssa and Keaton; and her sisters, Cheryl Masarocco and Lou Ann Masarocco of East Providence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association.
