He was predeceased by: his parents, George Montgomery and Verna Montgomery (Hetherington); his wife Mary Ann Kirkwood; his siblings, Emmett (Betty), Jim, Dorothy Bradley (Bob), Martha Keck (Jim) and Frank (Pat); his parents-in-law, Arthur and Ruby Kirkwood; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie McGlothlin (Jack) and Betty Jo Houtchens (Delton).

He is survived by: his sons, Michael (Edie) of Camdenton, MO and Don (Kathy) of Platte City, MO; his grandchildren, Kevin Montgomery (Michelle Lofti), Kelli Bays (Nathan), Scout and Landon; his sister Georgie; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Ross and Luwana Montgomery (Jim). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be offered to Hospice Foundation of America and may be left in care of the funeral home.
