He was predeceased by : his parents, James Carl and Pluma Brown (Carmack); his grandchildren, Jordan Larissa Brown, Thomas Scott Foster, Maxwell Owen Sheeley and Kayla Dawn Brown; and his brother Doyle J. Brown.

He is survived by : his children, Jim (Vicki Brown), Dixon, Joe (Lou Brown) and Jill; his son-in-law Jeff Sheeley; his sister Wilma Brown; his grandchildren, Kristina, Andrew, Brian, Jamie, Seth, Lucas and Lance; and his great grandchildren, Elaina, Riley, Alli, Grayson, Olivia, Mya, Owen, Eastyn and Brooklyn. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
