He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jack" and Darlene Fields; his son Scott Brian Fields; and his siblings, Jim, Don, Jerry and Patsy.

He is survived by: his children, Kelly Fields-Wilburn (Patrick) of Bloomfield and Scotty Northcutt (Heather) of Dexter; his grandchildren, Tyler McBride (Dana) of DePere, Seth McBride (Jillian) of Dexter, Scotty Andrew Fields (Jasmine) of Dexter, Jason Fields of Bloomfield, Gavin Northcutt (Michelle), Jadyn, Courtney Northcutt of Dexter and Dylan Wilburn of Poplar Bluff; and his great grandchildren, Lilly, Landon, Grayson, Payten, Wyatt, Leyton, Keegan, Hayden, Hailey and Jordan.
