She was predeceased by: her parents, James Milburn and Flossie Maggie Chastain; her husband John Parton; her children, Norma Parton, Jack Parton and Karen Jo Thornton; her granddaughter Cheyanna Parton; her siblings, James Delmer Chastain, Geneva Louise Steel and Alberta Jean Reeves; and her son-in-law Bill Alexander.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Alexander of Fresno, Sharon Lewis (Richard) of Mehlville, Diana Hager (Jerry) of Dittmer, Tommy Parton (Paula) of House Springs, Jacqueline Messmer of Dittmer and John "Paul" Parton (Jessica) of Dittmer; her grandchildren, Lisa Kolan, Paula Eckert, John Wideman, Katherine Thorne, Brian Jacobs, James Lam, Cynthia Mead, Jacquelyn Gutreuter, Dana Lam, Shawna Walker, Linda Portwood, Jerry Hager, Jr., Kimberly Lewis, Crystal Rucker, Steven Thornton, Billy Compton, Tamara Henry, Joshua Parton, Andrew Zangaro, Jonathan Messmer, Jordan McArthur, Angelique Parton, John Parton, Jr., David Parton, Tim Alexander, Terri Bradshaw, Tammi Morris and Travis Alexander; and her sister Patsy Ruth Temple of Dittmer. She is also survived by many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
