He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Nelson and Ruth Marie Nelson (Spiers); his son Brian Nelson; and his aunts and uncles, Don Spiers, Ella Hackett, Mary Lanham, Paul Spiers, Jim Spiers, Pat Coss, Lois Gabree, J. C. Nelson and Delbert Amos.
He is survived by: his brother Mike Nelson (Jody); his niece Hannah Robertson (Chris); his nephew Lance Nelson (Michelle); his great-nephews, Camden, Carter and Martin; and his aunts and uncles, Kelly Spiers (Debbie), Donna Mullendore (Clint), Darlene Amos, Sharon Crowder (Raymond), Evelyn Spiers, Park Gabree, Doris Nelson and Sharon Kay Spiers. He is also survived by numerous cousins; other relatives and many friends.
