She was predeceased by : her parents, Adam Schmid and Teresa Jehl Schmid; her husband John Benjamin Harris; her half-brother Ludwig Schmid; her nephew Karl Schmid; and her stepgrandchild Daren Klosterman.
She is survived by : her nephew Ludwig Schmid (Erika) of Pleussen Germany; her nieces, Emmi Schneider of Germany, Marion Marth (Alexander) of Germany and Michaela Mickisch of Germany; her great-nephew Sebastian Marth of Germany; and her stepdaughter Virginia Klosterman of Cedar Rapids, IA. She is also survived by two step grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren, along with many cousins.
