It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael Edwin Cates (Ellsinore, Missouri), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on October 15, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Eva Cates (Lansing) and Charles Ivan Cates; and his brother Richard. He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Gunter of Grandin, Missouri.; his children, Michael Clayton, Robert Bradley, Amanda Kay, Clay Cates (Michelle) and Brad Cates (Pam); his grandchildren, Kirsten Brookshire (Jaymes), Hayley, Noah, Lilianna, Emelia, Mikey, Elizabeth and Aurora; his siblings, Ron Cates, Diane Neely and Pat Cates; and his pet Bud. He is also survived by his kids, grandkids, and any family or friends.
