With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Ray Smith (Excelsior Springs, Missouri), who passed away on September 4, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Effie Smith and Harry Smith; and his siblings, Dorothy, Doris Lane, Gerri and Bud (Francis).
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Irons; his sons, Roger Smith (Mona), Steve Smith (Sara), Greg Smith (Vicki) and Brian Smith (Moynihan); his close friend Marcia Claire; his stepdaughters, Heather Etten, Robin Fauske (Rob) and Laura Cheever (Scott); his grandchildren, Laura A, Brandon S, Kristopher (Jessica), Marie (Brian), Megan Ryan S. (TJ), Jame, Ashley, Taylor, Brooke, Brandon L, Grace, Bella, Makenzie, Myles and Vincent; his great grandchildren, Carter, Brooklyn, Owen, Brianna, Jack, Karmyn, Eljiah, Jullian and Ava; and his brother Dick (Cathy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that contributions, in lieu of flowers, be made to the Missouri Veterans Home at 1111 Euclid, Cameron, Missouri 64429.
