He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Fern and Mary Fern; his grandparents, Mike Maletta and Suzie Maletta; and his brother Michael Wayne.
He is survived by: his wife Agnes; his children, Mike, Laura, Sharon (Mike Griffin), Matt (Debbie) and Lenore; his siblings, Dean (Virginia), Sue (Texas), Lanny and Danny (Excelsior Springs); his grandchildren, Stacey, Jason, Angela, Amanda and Olivia; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Kaleb, Kyree, Mackenzie, George, Brayden, Lilliana, Maverick and Max.
