Dorothy Marie Essig Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2022, at the age of 83, Dorothy Marie Essig of Excelsior Springs, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tyrus "Ty" and Hortence Coats (Woods); her husband Edwin Lee "Eddie" Essig of Excelsior Springs; her son Rick Essig; and her brother Kenny Coats.
She is survived by: her daughter Kathryn "Kathy" Essig of Wilton, NY; her stepdaughters, Diane Adams of Richmond and Janet Hessenflow of Gladstone; her grandsons, Ethan Essig (Allie) of Excelsior Springs, Christopher Hessenflow (Rachael) of Pretoria and Ryan Hessenflow (Amber) of Blue Springs; and her great grandchildren, Reese, Isla and June Essig.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to her great-grandchildren's music fund.
